We are in Downtown Funchal (capital of Madeira Island)

– In front of the SAM Bus Central Station (Aerobus Station – Stop Number 8)

– 700 metres (5 min walk) from the Cr7 Statue and the Ronaldo Museum

• Drivers need to by at least 19 years of age.
• Minimum 1 year of driving experience mandatory

• Driving Licence valid for at least one year.
• Identification Document (passport or citizen card).
• Contact number and email.
• Accomodation/Hotel, the address and room number.
• Flight number (if is Airport booking)

         Note:

         We only accept physical documents, no photographs or copies of documents.

• (Drive Licence A,A2,B if the driver is 25 years old category for 125cc) for the 600cc and 1200cc (35KW) is 20 years old.

Upon receiving your confirmation email, please make a 25% reservation fee payment using the secure payment link or through a bank transfer.

The outstanding 75% can be settled upon vehicle pickup, either in cash or with a debit/credit card.

Please note: Your booking is only secured once the 25% reservation fee is received.

Prior to sending the confirmation and payment details, we will verify the vehicle’s availability. This verification process may take up to 24 hours and is not automated.

The payment can be in cash, credit card (we do not accept American Express), when signing the rental agreement.

You are required to pay the 75% of the rental during the pickup as we make the contract. You can pay in cash, debit or credit card. (we do not accept American Express).

You can change the collection and delivery date before you receive the moto or car, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can update your booking and inform you of the new price (if applicable).

Yes, contact us by email or phone to check if it is possible to keep the vehicle longer.

We ask you to inform us as soon as you know there have been changes to your flight so we can organize for an agent to be waiting for you at the airport.

Charges may apply (if you arrive in a night flight)

What happens if my flight doesn’t land in Madeira due to bad weather?

We will be monitoring your arrival and will know that unfortunately you did not make it to Madeira as planned.
Please contact us as soon as possible to inform us of your new arrival date/time.
If you wish to keep your booking, we ask for new flight information and keep the moto for you.
The price will maintain as per initial booking. Extras may be added if you arrival in a night flight.
If you wish to cancel your booking completely please inform us.

Our prices for Scooters and Motorcycles include only the insurance of third party liability insurance, however this insurance does not cover situations of negligence such as:

• Negligent driving (off road, forbidden areas, wrong side of the road, etc.)
• Careless parking (not using the handbrake properly, in case of a car not using the handbrake, ignoring the
  using the handbrake, ignoring sensors and camera of the car, etc.)
• Misfuelling
• Damaging the Scooter, Moto or interior of the car.
• Parking fines and speeding
• Loss of Keys
• Failure to report accidents and / or damage
• Other situations of negligence.

Yes, the minimum rental for our Motos, Scooters and Cars is one day.

The vehicle’s fuel tank should be delivered with the same amount when you received.

Anywhere on the island. However, depending on the distance, a fee may apply.

In our main office, in Funchal, the delivery is free.

Normally the deposit is of 1,0% of the vehicle value. This will be the customer’s sole responsibility in case of any damage with fault, otherwise the amount is refunded upon return of the vehicle if there is no damage or to the equipment.

We reserve the right to cancel your rental in these situations (Reasons that may take BlitzRent to cancel your rental without refund):

• Unable to provide documents (passport/id) during the contract celebration,
• Unable to provide a drivers license,
• If the client provides false information that prevents him from driving,
• If the client is more than 1 hour late to pickup the vehicle,
• If the client is visibly altered, psychotic, intoxicated or showing signs of narcotics use.

A fee is charged for pick-ups or deliveries that are made between 7:00pm (19:00) and 8:30am in the morning (08:30)
