Driving License: Must be valid for at least one year. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure their license covers the vehicle they intend to rent.
Identification Document: A valid Passport, Citizen Card, or Residence Permit is required.
Contact Information: Customers must provide a contact number and email address.
Home Address: Customers must provide their residential address in their home country.
Accommodation Details: Hotel or accommodation information in Madeira Island, including address and room number.
Flight Number: Required for airport pick-up or drop-off bookings.
Physical Documents Only: We do not accept photographs or copies of documents—only original physical documents are accepted.
Scooters:
Minimum Age: 18 years.
Driving License: Must have held a valid license for at least one year for the type of scooter being rented.
Experience: A minimum of one year of driving experience is mandatory.
Motorcycles:
Minimum Age: 20 years.
Driving License: Must have held a valid license for at least two years for the type of motorcycle being rented.
Experience: A minimum of two years of driving experience is mandatory.
No Maximum Age Limit: However, if the driver's profile does not meet safety conditions, we reserve the right to refuse the reservation.
Cars:
Minimum Age: 19 years.
Young Driver Fee: Customers under 23 years old are subject to an additional fee.
Driving License: Must have held a valid license for at least one year for the type of car being rented.
Experience: A minimum of one year of driving experience is mandatory.
No Maximum Age Limit: However, if the driver's profile does not meet safety conditions, we reserve the right to refuse the reservation.
We have five different options for you:
Make Your Booking: Complete your booking online with all required personal information.
Order Pending Confirmation: After booking, you will receive an email stating "Order Pending/Standby."
Payment Instructions: Within a few minutes or up to 24 hours, you will receive another email with booking details and a secure payment link for the 25% reservation fee. You can also choose to pay via Bank Transfer, PayPal, or Stripe.
Reservation Fee Payment: A 25% payment must be made via the secure payment link or a bank transfer. The vehicle will only be reserved for you once this payment is received. This 25% payment serves as the vehicle blocking fee.
Final Payment & Pickup: The remaining 75% balance must be paid when signing the rental agreement during vehicle pickup. Payments can be made via cash, debit card, or credit card (American Express not accepted).
Cancellation Policy
If you cancel your booking, the 25% reservation fee will be retained as a cancellation fee. No additional charges apply.

What happens if my flight is unable to land in Madeira due to bad weather? 🌧️
We will be closely monitoring your flight’s status and will be aware if you are unable to reach Madeira as planned due to weather conditions.
In such cases, please contact us as soon as possible with your updated arrival date and time. If you wish to proceed with your booking, we’ll request the updated flight information and reserve the vehicle for you. The price will remain the same as originally booked, though additional charges may apply for night flights.
If you decide to cancel your booking altogether, please inform us, and we will assist you accordingly.

All our prices for scooters, motorbikes and cars include third party insurance (civil liability).
This is the only legal insurance in Portugal for scooters and motorbikes.
Covers damages caused to other people or properties in the event of an accident, does not cover damages to the rented vehicle, it is your responsibility.
On Cars, you have the optional SCDW insurance, which reduces your liability (negligence is not included).
In the event of an accident, you must contact us immediately to activate the insurance. You will be required to submit a completed and compliant accident declaration, along with photos and any other relevant data. Failure to contact us after an accident (considered negligence) will result in the company refusing responsibility. Activating the insurance is mandatory, and it is important to reach out to us without delay.
Negligence Includes:
Clutch/transmission burn and engine damage.
Severe damage caused by negligent driving (driving in prohibited areas such as off-road, on the wrong side of the road, in the wrong direction, alleys, collisions with walls, parked cars, abrupt garage exits, negligent parking (failure to properly use the handbrake, impact on the body or roof of the vehicle).
Damage and breakage to the vehicle’s interior, seats, dashboards, scooter and motorcycle seats.
Damage to tires (side of the tire), wheels, and wheel plates, windows, glass, mirrors, rearview mirrors, and headlights.
Loss of keys, documents, helmets, gloves, jackets, and other equipment included in the rental.
Parking fines and speeding (must be paid immediately when returning the vehicle).
Failure to report accidents or damages within 24 hours, with a police report.
In the case of severe damage, the customer is responsible for providing the police report.
Driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or other controlled substances.
The customer is not authorized to repair the vehicles under any circumstances
Scooters and Motorcycles:
Normally, the deposit is between 1.0% and 3.0% of the vehicle's value. The customer will be solely responsible for any damage caused by fault. If there are no damages to the vehicle or equipment upon return, the deposit will be full refunded.
Cars:
Normally, the deposit is between 3% and 5% of the vehicle's value. The customer will be solely responsible for any damage caused by fault. If there are no damages to the vehicle or equipment upon return, the deposit will be full refunded.
For reservations without the SCDW Insurance, a deposit will be required. However, if you choose to add the SCDW Insurance, no deposit is necessary. The deposit amount varies based on the vehicle category of the Car.
Our damage policy is transparent and straightforward. In the event of vehicle damage:
Processing Time:
The repair estimate may take up to 10 to 15 days or longer, depending on the vehicle make and the supplier. The waiting time varies based on these factors.
Blitz Rent is not responsible for the processing time of the estimate, as the damage quotation is provided solely by certified companies, not by Blitz Rent. The waiting time is also determined by these companies.
We ensure a transparent and fair process for all of our customers.
Reservation Change
If you need to make changes to your reservation, please contact us as soon as possible. You can reach us by phone or WhatsApp, or by email. We will do our best to accommodate any changes, but please note that availability is subject to demand, especially during peak seasons.
To avoid any issues, we recommend making any changes well in advance, as last-minute requests may not always be possible. This will allow us to update your booking and inform you of any new pricing (if applicable).
Cancellation Policy
Bookings made through the Blitz Rent website can be canceled by either Blitz Rent or the customer, provided the following conditions are met:
If you cancel your booking within 48 hours of booking, we will refund the booking fee in full, i.e., 25% of the amount paid.
Cancellations made after the 48-hour period will not be refunded.

Refunds will be processed within up to 10 business days, and the timeframe may vary depending on your country of residence and whether you are within the European Union or not.
Blitz Rent reserves the right to cancel your booking under the following situations (no refund):
Failure to provide the required documents (passport/ID) during the contract signing.
Failure to present a valid driver's license.
Providing false information that prevents the customer from driving. (If the driver's profile does not meet safety requirements, we reserve the right to refuse the booking.)
If the customer is more than 1 hour late for vehicle pick-up, without justification or notice. The maximum waiting time is 2 hours if no communication is made, except in cases of delayed flights.
If the customer is visibly altered, intoxicated, or showing signs of narcotic use.
Return Policy
If the customer returns the vehicle before the agreed rental period, no refund will be provided for the unused days or hours. Blitz Rent rents vehicles for the agreed period, and during that time, the vehicle is allocated to the customer, preventing the company from renting it to other clients for that same period.
No, there is no Kilometer/Miles limit on your rental. You can enjoy unlimited kilometers/miles during your rental period!
The vehicle's fuel tank should be returned with the same amount of fuel as when you received it. We kindly ask you to return the vehicle with the same fuel level it had upon pickup.
No refund will be given for excess fuel left by the customer. If the vehicle is returned with a lower fuel level or without fuel, the corresponding amount missing will be charged along with the associated logistics costs for refueling:
Scooters: €5 for each 25% of fuel missing
Motorcycles: €10 for each 25% of fuel missing
Cars: €25 for each 25% of fuel missing
Please note:
In the case of incorrect fuel being used, a fee of €280 will be charged for Scooters and Motorcycles, €500 for Cars. These fees cover the logistics costs associated with transporting the vehicle to a workshop and cleaning the fuel system, as carried out by the vehicle's brand.
Using the wrong fuel can damage the vehicle's engine and is considered negligence.

Roadside assistance is available 24/7 by calling +351929221410 from 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM. After 7:00 PM, please contact +351965014484 - Truck Assistance. Ensure you have your insurance number ready for the tow truck service.
In cases of negligence (loss of keys, flat tires, misfuelling, dead battery), the client will be charged for the assistance fee. We cannot guarantee a replacement vehicle in case of negligence.
Yes, it is possible. We offer scooter, motorcycle, and car pick-ups and deliveries at the airport outside of our working hours, from 7:00 PM to 8:30 AM. There is an additional fee for each delivery and pick-up outside of working hours.
Our office in downtown Funchal operates from 08:30 AM to 07:00 PM. Any delivery outside of our office hours will incur an additional fee for each delivery and pick-up outside of working hours.
All our fleet is rigorously tested and selected based on the unique topography of Madeira Island.
We ensure that all our vehicles, whether scooters, motorcycles, or cars, are fully capable of handling the island’s challenging terrain, including its steepest mountains.
Note: We do not offer scooters or motorcycles with an engine capacity of less than 125cc, and our cars have a minimum engine capacity of 1000cc. This is because smaller engines do not provide satisfactory performance for the demanding slopes of Madeira Island.
